In 2007 he began his artistic career at the JP MOVE dance company, in 2010 he began his research on funk and its branches.
In 2015, she entered UFRJ, where she began her academic training in dance and there she expanded her studies to the Favela and its identities, research that continues to this day.
In the same year he joined Cia Suave, where he went on several national and international tours, presenting shows and holding passinho workshops, which took him to 11 Brazilian states (Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Sul, Minas Gerais, Amazonas, Mato Grosso, Distrito Federal, Santa Catarina, Rondônia and Maranhão) and 10 countries (Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Sweden, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, France, Norway).

In 2011 he began working with cultural production, performing and participating in some dance events, with emphasis on the 3 editions of the DNA CARIOCA Urban Dance Seminar. In 2017 he took over as general director of the JP Move Company, where he also began to gain experience as an artistic director.
In 2021, he conceived and carried out the online project “RABISCA – O Giz do Passinho”, which was awarded the Prêmio Arte Escola – Lei Aldir Blanc by SMC/City Hall of Rio, with a series of workshops and debates held in digital format.
Eem parceria com a Quafá Produções o projeto PASSINHO DA ZO (2022). e dirigiu seu 1º trabalho autoral chamado PROIBIDÃO, que seguiu circulando em 2023, sendo apresentado no MAM Rio.
Em 2024 através do projeto Passinho da ZO e em parceria com o projeto Incubadora Quafá Produções realizou 2 ações, um Encontro de Bonde + Chyper na Areninha Cultural Gilberto Gil em agosto e em dezembro realizou uma Batalha de Passinho + All Style no Palacete Princesa Isabel do Encomuseu de Santa Cruz.

PROIBIDÃO is a dance show that arises from the experience of director Kinho JP as a black man living in the favelas.
The show addresses the Favela and its identities as its main theme, with a proposal for complete immersion and transposition of the Favela to the stage.
A collective creation with favela bodies, marginal bodies that in essence only those who are children of the Favela possess.

Pássaro é o 1º solo de dança de Kinho JP. O trabalho se propõe a explorar as complexidades da experiência negra e periférica na cena contemporânea. Simbolizando não apenas sua jornada individual, mas também a luta daqueles que não conseguem perceber as gaiolas invisíveis que os cercam.
O projeto será realizado através de recursos do edital Fluxo Fluminenses da PNAB – SECEC/Governo do Rio e tem previsão de estreia no 1º semestre de 2026.
