The Quafá Produções is a Rio de Janeiro-based production company that has been working for 14 years in the production, management and fundraising of multilingual cultural projects, especially in initiatives linked to artistic manifestations of urban and peripheral culture.
It stands out in the implementation of projects linked to body arts, performance and contemporary dance, such as festivals, artistic occupation projects, production of companies and national and international tours.
The Quafá arises from a process of reformulation of its image and performance led by its current and sole partner, the cultural producer Rafael Fernandes. Quafá is its place of origin and creation, a housing complex in the West Zone of Rio, located in the neighborhood of Bangu, next to Vila Kennedy.
Its focus will be on consulting and career development for young peripheral artists and their inclusion in public cultural policies.
As well as in the research and development of tools for the internationalization of Brazilian performing arts.
Created in November 2011 from the meeting of 3 cultural producers, Mônica Bittencourt, Roberta Pisco and her current partner. Initially created as Realejo Produções, the company becomes the Trio Carioca Produções (2015 – 2022), and in April 2022 the Quafá Produções.
